Sweet Charity’s Bread

“Give, and it shall be given unto you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38)

guardian angel 3“As I lay sleeping one night on my bed, an angel came calling with dreams in my head. The message he brought was simple and true; and waking, I thought I should tell it to you.

“Break to the needy sweet Charity’s bread, for giving is living,” the angel said.

“What!? Giving again?” I asked in dismay. “Must I keep on giving and giving away?”

“Oh, no,” said the angel; piercing me through. “Just give, ’till the Father stops giving to you.”

God is able to make all grace abound to you so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound to every good work. Let the measure of God’s grace to you become the measure of your graciousness to others. As He has been generous towards you, so now you become generous unto those about you.

Give, and never tire of doing so. For it is by giving to others that you keep the circle of blessings flowing to and through your own life.

And, oh, by the way — this is not just about Money. It’s about everything! Give a smile to those who are lonely; give a listening ear to those who have something to say; give a hand of comfort to those in pain; give a word of cheer to those who suffer. Give your time, your talents, along with your treasure — and watch how God blesses and multiplies it back to you in immeasurable ways!

This is the Resource Revolution – and if we can rally enough people to it, we will witness some truly extraordinary things in our world; a turning of the tide from poverty to prosperity, from ignorance to education, from class warfare to civil blessing; yes, from selfish greed to joyful generosity.

This is neither Capitalism, nor Communism, nor Socialism. This is the Kingdom of God – which is not of this world. And this Kingdom is forever! Don’t you think it would be a good idea for you to get in on it now?

“Give. And it shall be given unto you!”
